Military Air Traffic Control Heritage Association (MATCHA)
proudly announces the publication and availability of
the book "NOT-Always in Control", written
by Dave Penley CD, of Brighton ON. Published by the Canadian
Forces Aerospace Warfare Centre of 8 Wing Trenton on behalf
of MATCHA, the book is available for purchase on a non-profit
basis. This hilarious collection of personal anecdotes
captures the human interest aspects of military Air Traffic
Controllers and the Navigational Aids Technicians who
work with them. Stories are liberally laced with elements
of humour, drama, ATC history, perspectives by air crew,
and the general culture and folklore of life in the Royal
Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Forces Air Command.
Anecdote contributors include Paul Hussey, David Weir,
David Penley, Gaston Petit, Wayne Chuppa, Doyle Strandt,
John Gates, Bruce Wellman, Bob Laroque, Ralph Thistle,
Barry Cockerline and Les Al-Molkey, amongst others.
Cost of the book is $20.00 per copy. Single copy
mail orders in Canada will be mailed letter class
to customers for a total cost of $25.00 which includes
postage and handling. Please send your cheque or

for delivery from time of mailing. Multiple book
orders (parcel post) or postage outside Canada will
